It was not quite the end of the season once the final whistle was blown at Colney against Fulham on Saturday. There was still the presentation of the Youth Team Player of the Season Award.
The Mary Elmhurst Cup has been presented since the early 1990's with the likes of Chris Sutton and Darren Eadie being previous winners.
This season, as has become the norm in recent years, the players voted amongst themselves and it was Taylor McKenzie who was voted a clear winner.
Seven days earlier Taylor found himself in hospital after a nasty clash of heads early in the game against Spurs; fortunately there were no serious problems for Taylor or indeed the Spurs player who also went to hospital.
It was a much happier looking Taylor on Saturday as FONCY Chairman John Landamore presented the award.
