Norwich City U18s fell to a narrow defeat at Group B leaders Leicester City on Saturday.

The Canaries went ahead after 17 minutes with a move started and fished by schoolboy Harry Barker.

In a very physical game the Foxes equalised on 25 minutes a centre-forward beat Jed Steer to a cross.

Barker and again captain Matt Ball put in good performances as City went into the second half all square.

On around 78 minutes Leicester grabbed the winning goal with a diving header from a free-kick.

After the game Ricky Martin commented “Overall I am disappointed to lose the game and feel a draw would have been a fair result with the few chances that both sides created.”
